Booked In Madrid is a fictional book festival set in Madrid. The festival focuses specifically on celebrating the romantic comedy genre and embodies the romance of Madrid and Spain as a whole. Booked in Madrid was inspired by my love of romcoms, books, and my grandparents, as they fell in love and married while living in Madrid.
What's in a name?
The name Booked In Madrid plays on the festival's unique topic. (It's definitely a festival I would love to go to!) Since this major event would have international appeal, it was also a play on the fact that people would take the trip and “book” accommodations.
The Solution
Booked In Madrid’s branding represents the warmth of both romance and Spanish culture. It incorporates allusions to the festival itself, as well as the host city, through its illustrations.
